VERY IMPORTANT In case of adverse weather during the ride, EMERGENCY SHELTERS will be available in the following locations:
Inside Shops/Patio area of Silverthorne Outlet Mall.
The "MAC" at Copper Mountain Resort (Main Village area). (Near Fremont Pass) - any shops, restaurants (inside, open & heated).

River Run - breezeways / possible use of small lodge or Pavillion (pending availibility), and at your cars.
ELEVATION
This ride is at elevation and weather can change dramatically. Bring appropriate layers, waterproof/resistant jackets for cooler temps and possible rain/snow.
Stay well hydrated, wear sunscreen and protective eyewear.
SAFETY
Helmets are required. Mirrors are recommended.
Please make sure your bike is in good, safe working order, equipped with suitable brakes for the descents down the mountain passes.
We recommend you bring the following items with you: Sunscreen, sunglasses/protective eye wear, waterproof jacket, small bike repair kit, small first aid kit, hydration and nutrition.
On the section of the bike path around Dillon Reservoir to just outside of Frisco, there will be more families, kids and less experienced riders, so use extra caution in this area, announce passing “on your left” and be careful around kids as they can easily be startled and/or stop suddenly.
RULES OF THE ROAD
Single File Rules apply! Especially in the following areas:
The bike path section from Frisco to Copper, and back to Frisco. People will be descending at high speeds, so pass with awareness and caution.
On Montezuma Road and especially A Basin/Loveland Pass, as this is an alternate for trucks to I-70.
After heading out of Keystone/River Run, you will be going at very fast speeds, coming into Dillon and Silverthorne, where there are lights and businesses. FOLLOW ALL TRAFFIC LIGHT RULES!! USE CAUTION THROUGH THIS AREA and once you get just outside of Silverthorne, there will be a very wide shoulder for you to enjoy.
For more information read the Colorado Bike Rules of the Road
PLEASE FOLLOW THE RULES. If you don’t obey the single file and traffic light laws, you risk the future of this ride.
