We are a mix of road and mountain bike riders from Boulder, Colorado with a commitment to making a difference in
our world through the best way we know how – cycling! After riding several centuries and other distances to benefit
the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) and other charitable organizations, we felt the desire to create something special and unique in our own backyard.
With an unprecedented 82% of their funds going back to research, patients and their families, LAF has made a real impact on our lives and countless others, many of whom will be riding on June 21st.
The compassion and drive of the LAF staff and volunteers has inspired us to create a truly unique ride in the hills of Summit County Colorado. It is our plan to raise money for LAF by offering a scenic and challenging ride that is sponsored and supported by the community and local Colorado-based businesses. We plan to offer riders and volunteers organic food options, recycling and composting, and the option to finish the ride in three different ways, to accommodate a variety of skill levels.
We believe the Blue River Century is a ride essential to your summer riding schedule. We chose June 21 for the ride because it is a perfect “warm-up” for those cyclists competing in the Triple Bypass on July 12th.
We hope you will join us in making the Blue River Century a success and a tradition!
